For Our Mothers

Every Mother Deserves Dignity

In the ancient, winding alleys of Vrindavan, as dawn's first light kisses the sacred waters of the Yamuna, a chorus rises—fragile yet unbroken:

"Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare..."

These voices belong to the forgotten mothers of Vrindavan. More than ten thousand of them. Women who once cradled children, cooked meals for families, celebrated festivals in homes filled with laughter. Mothers. Grandmothers. Great-grandmothers.

Each carrying a story of loss that goes beyond widowhood.

For many, the death of a husband meant the death of their place in the world.

Relatives—the very children they raised, the families they built—turned their faces away, seeing not a grieving woman but a burden to be shed. As if a lifetime of love could be erased with a single loss.

So they came here, to Vrindavan, clutching nothing but their faith in Krishna. No money. No belongings. Only hope that the God who danced in these very streets would not abandon them too.

Here, they spend 8-10 hours daily in bhajan ashrams, chanting Krishna's names in exchange for ₹15-30 per session. Most survive on less than ₹50 a day.

They wear white sarees—as widows traditionally do. But these aren't fresh white sarees. They're yellowed with age, tattered at the edges, patched and re-patched until the original fabric barely holds together.

Many haven't received a new saree in years. Some, in decades.

These are our mothers.

Not by blood, but by dharma. By humanity. By the simple truth that every elderly woman deserves respect, dignity, and care—especially those who've dedicated their final years to Krishna's service.

Our Founder's Commitment

Bhakti Raas was founded on a principle: that devotional business should actually serve devotion—not just profit from it.

We are an emerging brand, growing sustainably and building partnerships carefully. But we're not waiting until we are "established" to give back.

Our commitment, starting Month 1:

We donate 5 blessed cotton sarees every month to the elderly widows of Vrindavan.

Each saree is:

  • Offered to Krishna first at our facility (just like every saree we sell)
  • Comfortable cotton specifically selected for elderly women's daily wear
  • Hand-delivered by our team to partner ashrams in Vrindavan
  • Documented with complete transparency—photos, stories, impact reports

From day one. Not someday. Now.

Why Start with 5?

Because integrity matters more than impressive numbers.

We believe in sustainable growth over flashy promises. Starting with 5 sarees per month allows us to:

Personally verify every delivery — We hand-deliver each batch ourselves
Build deep partnerships — We know our ashrams and residents intimately
Maintain complete transparency — Every saree is documented and accounted for
Never overpromise — We keep every commitment, every single time

This isn't about limitations. It's about doing it right from the foundation.

Five sarees won't transform all of Vrindavan. But for five mothers every month, it transforms everything. A soft saree that doesn't scratch. Colors that bring joy. Fabric that shows someone still cares.

As Bhakti Raas grows, this commitment grows with us.

Strategic growth. Unwavering integrity. Measurable impact.

You Can Multiply the Impact

When you shop at Bhakti Raas, you'll see this option at checkout:

Add ₹499 to sponsor a saree for a Vrindavan mother

If you choose to sponsor:

1. We source the saree
Comfortable cotton from our trusted suppliers—soft, durable, dignified. Colors chosen to bring joy: soft pinks, blues, greens, traditional prints.

Just like your saree, the sponsored saree is placed on our altar and offered to Krishna with prayers and gratitude.

3. We deliver it personally
Our team drives to Vrindavan (2 hours from Faridabad) and hand-delivers to our partner ashram. We conduct a small aarti, meet the mothers, share prasadam.

4. You receive an update

OUR PARTNER: RADHA SEVA

Radha Seva
Radha Kunda, Vrindavan
USA 501(c)(3) Nonprofit | Padma Charitable Trust (India)

Radha Seva offers one of the most comprehensive widow care programs we've encountered—providing personal stipends, private housing, free medical care, daily meals, and meaningful seva opportunities. They treat each mother as an individual with unique needs and dignity.

What impressed us: Their commitment to personal empowerment and respect. Widows aren't just housed—they're honored. Each mother receives individualized support that recognizes her as a person, not a charity case. Their location in sacred Radha Kunda adds spiritual significance to their service.

Services they provide:

  • Personal monthly stipends
  • Private housing (not dormitory-style)
  • Free comprehensive medical care
  • Freshly cooked daily meals
  • Meaningful seva and community engagement
  • Spiritual support and devotional environment

WIDOW EMPOWERMENT:

These mothers aren't passive recipients. They're employed community leaders who:
- Prepare daily prasadam for 200+ people
- Maintain Radha Kunda's sacred ghats and kundas
- Lead devotional kirtan
- Restore Vrindavan's ancient heritage sites
- Preserve local Brajavasi culture

HOLISTIC IMPACT:
Your sponsorship doesn't just support one widow. Through Radha Seva, it also funds:- -Govardhan Hill environmental protection

- Daily community meals for locals, children, and sadhus
- Cultural preservation for future generations

This is not a charity. It is dharma, empowerment and partnership.

📸 VISUAL DOCUMENTATION

No corporate jargon. No inflated numbers. Just truth.

    This Isn't Charity. It's Dharma.

In the Bhagavad Gita (9.27), Krishna says:

"Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer in sacrifice, whatever you give away, and whatever austerities you perform—do that as an offering to Me."

At Bhakti Raas, we take this literally:

    • Every saree we sell → Offered to Krishna first
    • Every saree we donate → Offered to Krishna first
    • Every mother we serve → IS Krishna in the form of a devotee

    This isn't a marketing program.
    This isn't CSR optics.
    This is why we exist.

We're building a business that sanctifies commerce through devotion. Where profit and purpose aren't separate—they're the same thing.

When you buy from Bhakti Raas, you're not just getting a saree. You're participating in an ecosystem of seva. You're supporting artisans, honoring tradition, receiving Krishna's blessings, and now—serving His devotees.

    That's the Bhakti Raas difference.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why start with only 5 sarees per month?

A: We're building a program designed to last decades, not make headlines for a month.

Starting with 5 sarees allows us to:

      • Hand-deliver every batch personally (no impersonal courier services)
      • Build genuine relationships with each ashram and resident
      • Verify impact with our own eyes every single month
      • Maintain 100% financial transparency
      • Scale sustainably as our business grows

This isn't a budget decision—it's a quality decision. We'd rather deliver 5 perfectly than promise 50 and disappoint. Our commitment is to consistent, verified, dignified service.

      Year 1: 5/month. Year 2: 10/month. Year 3+: Continue scaling thoughtfully.

Q: How do you choose which mothers receive sarees?

A: Our partner ashrams will distribute based on need—prioritizing those with the most worn clothing or who recently arrived with nothing.

We trust their judgment as they know each resident personally and understand individual circumstances. We verify through our monthly delivery visits that distribution is fair and dignified.

Q: Can I visit the ashrams and see the impact?

A: Absolutely! Once partnerships are formalized, we encourage donors to visit Vrindavan and see the impact firsthand.

We can coordinate visits with our partner ashrams (with advance notice to respect residents' privacy and routines). Many of our customers plan to combine it with pilgrimage to Vrindavan's temples.

Email us at [email] to arrange a visit once deliveries begin.

Q: Do you take any commission from the ₹499 sponsorship?

      A: Zero.

100% goes to sourcing the saree (₹450-480 from our trusted suppliers) and delivery costs (petrol, prasadam for residents, coordination).

We don't take administrative fees or profit margins on donations. This is our seva—facilitating your devotion. Our business makes money selling sarees; For Our Mothers is pure service.

Q: What if I want to sponsor more than one saree?

A: You can sponsor multiple sarees!

Simply add the ₹499 option multiple times at checkout, or contact us directly for bulk sponsorships (10+ sarees).

We also offer corporate partnership programs for companies interested in larger commitments, employee engagement programs, or CSR initiatives.

      Q: Are sponsorships tax-deductible?

A: Currently no, as sponsorships go through Bhakti Raas (a for-profit company) and we facilitate donations to our partner ashrams.

We're exploring partnership structures for the future that may enable tax receipts through our NGO partners directly. We'll update this page when that option becomes available.

Transparency note: Even without tax benefits, 100% of your ₹499 goes to the saree and delivery—nothing comes to Bhakti Raas.

Q: How do I know the sarees actually reach the mothers?

A: Complete transparency is non-negotiable for us.

We have nothing to hide and everything to prove. Our credibility depends on it.

Q: Can companies/organizations partner for bulk donations?

      A: Absolutely!

      We welcome corporate partnerships for:

      • Bulk saree sponsorships (50+ sarees)
      • Employee engagement programs (team visits to Vrindavan)
      • CSR initiatives aligned with elderly care and women's dignity
      • Branded campaigns (with appropriate positioning)

Contact us at [+91 98105 46766] for partnership discussions. We can customize programs to align with your company's values and goals.

Q: When will you increase to 10 sarees per month?

      A: Year 2 (Months 13-24).

We're committed to sustainable, predictable growth:

      • Year 1: 5 sarees/month = 60 sarees annually (foundation)
      • Year 2: 10 sarees/month = 120 sarees annually (growth)
      • Year 3+: Continue scaling based on business growth (expansion)

This measured approach ensures we never break our commitments and always maintain quality and personal connection with our partners and the mothers we serve.

Q: What makes Bhakti Raas different from other brands with donation programs?

A: Most brands donate a percentage after profit calculations, often to generic causes, usually through third parties, rarely with transparency.

      Bhakti Raas difference:

      • Fixed commitment from Month 1 (not "when profitable")
      • Founder personally delivers (not outsourced to couriers)
      • 100% transparency (exact numbers, photos, financial breakdown)
      • Direct relationships with ashrams (not through intermediaries)
      • Sarees blessed first (spiritual integrity matches commercial integrity)
      • Tied to our core mission (every saree we sell is offered to Krishna—so is every saree we donate)
      • Affordable sponsorship (₹499 makes generosity accessible)
      • Public partner selection (you can follow our journey in real-time)

For us, For Our Mothers isn't a program. It's our purpose.

Q: Can I donate directly to Radha Seva instead of through BhaktiRaas?

      A: Absolutely! We encourage it.

Our ₹499 sponsorships specifically support their widow saree program, but Radha Seva does incredible work beyond sarees:

      - Environmental restoration at Govardhan Hill
      - Ancient temple preservation
      - Daily community meal programs
      - Cultural heritage protection

Visit www.radharani.com to support their broader mission. Our goal is impact, not credit—the more people support Radha Seva, the better for everyone.
