A note from our founder

She had almost nothing. And yet she was the one who had everything.

I was on yatra at Vrindavan, sitting on the banks of Radha kund in the early morning — six, maybe seven o'clock. The air was still. A group of us were doing our japa together, mala in hand, chanting softly as the day began.

That's when I noticed her.

A widowed mataji, in a worn white saree, quietly sweeping nearby. She wasn't performing for anyone. There was no audience, no occasion. Just her, her seva, and the sacred kund.

I watched her face for a long time, trying to name what I saw there. It wasn't happiness, exactly. It wasn't sadness. It was something rarer — a completeness. A settledness that doesn't need anything added to it. A peace that the world can neither give nor take away.

One by one, the other devotees around me fell quiet too. We all saw it. We started speaking softly to each other — that we, sitting there with our phones, our homes, our full wardrobes, our plans — we were the ones who were searching. And she, with almost nothing by any worldly measure, was simply... present. Whole.

I don't know the right word for what she had. But I know it had something to do with Krishna. With seva done without asking anything in return.

I never forgot that morning. And when Bhakti Raas began to take shape, I knew — if this brand is to mean anything, it must begin here. With her. With the mothers who gave everything to their families and now live quietly in Vrindavan, often forgotten, always deserving.

This initiative is our small, steady promise to them. Not a campaign. Not a photo moment. Just month-after-month care, offered with folded hands.

Radha Seva runs one of the most comprehensive care programs for elderly widowed mothers that we have come across. Through personal stipends, housing support, medical care, daily meals, and meaningful opportunities for seva, they help ensure that each mother is cared for with dignity and respect.

What touched us most was their philosophy. The mothers are not viewed as beneficiaries or charity cases, but as individuals with unique stories, needs, and inherent worth. Every effort is made to support them with compassion, personal attention, and respect.

Based in the sacred land of Radha Kunda, Radha Seva brings together practical care and spiritual support in a way that deeply resonates with our values.
